About this photo:
To fly over an active volcano is something very hard to describe. My pilot was very aware of the fact that he was flying with a photographer and did everything he could to make this experience what it was. With my head out the window I felt the heat from the crater brushing my face. We were alone in the air until a friends in the sky joined us. I couldn't resist taking a few frames of him circling around the smoke. It felt friendly seeing him up there with us.
