Born, raised, and based in Iceland, Rán Bjargardottir is a dedicated photographer with a deep appreciation for storytelling through her lens. She graduated with honors from the Technical College in Reykjavík in 2017, where she refined her skills and artistic approach. Rán specializes in landscape, travel, portrait and production photography, capturing the breathtaking beauty of Iceland, its visitors and beyond. She has also worked on set for film and TV productions, bringing stories to life both on and off the screen with her unit stills and behind-the-scenes photography. Her work has received recognition through multiple photography awards, highlighting her unique eye and commitment to her craft. Rán is also a licensed drone operator, adding a unique perspective to her photography. In addition to her photography work, Rán has been actively involved in the Icelandic photography community and served for several years on the board of the Icelandic Professional Photographers Association, contributing to projects and discussions that support photographers and the development of the profession in Iceland.
