Rán Bjargar had the honor of photographing the official Eimskip calendar for two consecutive years. Published annually since 1928, the calendar is one of Iceland’s most recognized corporate traditions.
Rán became the first woman to capture all images featured in the calendar, a milestone in its long history.
This project combines creative storytelling with a respect for tradition, showcasing Iceland’s landscapes and Eimskip’s legacy in a unique, visual way.
In 2026, the calendar focused entirely on photography, highlighting the power of a single, carefully captured moment.
The 2025 edition introduced an interactive element: each photo included a QR code linking to a short video from the same location, allowing the still image to come alive through motion, atmosphere, and sound.
