In the serendipity of the moment, art unfolded unexpectedly in Þórsmörk. This photograph, reveals the magic above the parking area where we paused on our way to ascend a glacier. I never meant to take a photo there, until I saw this by pure chance. The frozen rivers, flowing from the glacier's embrace and caressed by black volcanic sands, unfold a truly enchanting scene, especially when observed from the aerial perspective. It has become my favorite photo from that whole trip.
